Dyersburg State Community College is a growing and dynamic institution charged by the Tennessee Board of Regents to serve the educational needs of a seven-county area of Northwest Tennessee. A map of this service area is included in the Campus Maps link below. Spread across a tree-filled 100-acre campus, the Dyersburg location boasts a variety of facilities including the E.B. Eller Administration building, the Dale F. Glover Education Center, a Student Center, a state-of-the art Learning Resources Center, the Security Bank Community Learning Center and the E. H. Lannom, Jr., Gymnasium. DSCC also offers increased access to education via technology-assisted instruction, distance learning and course offerings at convenient locations including the DSCC Gibson County Center, the DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County and the DSCC Obion County Training and Education Center. While most of our students begin their college career immediately upon their high school graduation, we have many students who are returning to the classroom after many years. In fact, the average age of our students is 28! Knowing this, our instructors and staff work with students to accommodate their personal, professional and educational needs. DSCC coursework transfers to all accredited institutions of higher education. The College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). It is a part of the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) system. With a focus on student learning, DSCC offers quality academic programs including the following: - Associate of Science and Associate of Arts degrees for transfer to four-year institutions;
- Students interested in studying in DSCC's division of Business and Technology may earn an Associate of Applied Science degree.
- The college also offers technical and academic certificate programs that respond to emerging career opportunities in health care and technologies and provide workforce education;
- A developmental studies program that enhances the skills necessary for success in college-level courses;
- An honors program that expands students’ thinking and achievement;
- A service learning program that integrates classroom learning with real community partners;
- Two different types of online learning opportunities;
- A continuing education program that provides educational opportunities for children and adults;
- Seamless transition among institutions through articulation agreements with area high schools, Tennessee Technology Centers and four-year institutions;

Dr. Karen Bowyer has served as President of Dyersburg State Community College since November, 1984. There are four vice-presidents who each oversee specific areas of the college's operations: - Vice President for the College - Oversees all academic areas - Dr. Mary Ann Sellars
