Alan Barnett

Coach Barnett spent five years at Jackson State Community College as head basketball coach, with three years each as an assistant coach at Quincy College and Southeast Missouri State University prior to that.  He was named Coach of the Year in the Tennessee Junior and Community College Athletic Association from 1994-95 at Jackson State, and was inducted into the Southwest Missouri State University's Hall of Fame.

Coach Barnett was named coach of the year in his last season at Jackson State Community College before taking over at DSCC in 1995.  He was inducted into the Southwest Missouri State University's Hall of Fame in December 2007 as an assistant coach with the 1985-86 runner up team in the nation.  In addition to being the men's basketball head coach at DSCC, he also serves as the athletic director and is an associate professor in the physical education department.
