Coach George White returns to DSCC after spending the previous 9 seasons as the Assistant Baseball Coach for the Eagles. Coach “G” was a two-time First Team All-State selection in class 4A Missouri baseball during High School. After High School, he attended Mineral Area College where he was a First Team All-Conference and All-Region selection. After his stint at MAC, he signed with the University of Missouri-St. Louis. There he also earned All-Conference First-Team awards as a catcher. After college, he played four years with the Cape Girardeau Capahas.
As the Assistant Baseball Coach, Coach “G” helped the DSCC Baseball program become a perennial power in the Southeast. He helped his twin brother, Robert, who is the Head Baseball Coach win over 300 games during the reign of the “White Brothers”. Coach “G” helped lead the Eagles to a first ever national ranking of #15 in the country as well as helping the program being bestowed as one of the “Top 50 Baseball Programs” in the country.
Coach “G’ is excited to be back at DSCC as the Head Women’s Softball Coach. He believes that with his recruiting abilities , the program will be quick to thrive in an extremely challenging conference. “ I am extremely thankful to have the opportunity to lead as the DSCC Softball Coach. The relationships that I have built with the faculty/staff and members of the community have been special. I am going to put all my effort into building a solid and reputable program. Ultimately, I am going to put an emphasis on graduating student-athletes and moving them on to four-year colleges and universities while teaching them team building skills that will hopefully provide great memories they can look back on after DSCC."
Coach “G” has a Bachelor of Science in Sports management as well as a Masters of Education from William Woods University.
