Academic Advising and Class Selection If you are degree-seeking, have you met with an advisor to review your course placement and to plan your schedule of classes? Class listings on the Web are accurate as of the time you view them. If you plan to transfer to a university, you are responsible for planning your courses according to the requirements specified in that university’s catalog. Use the equivalency tables to determine the equivalent course numbers. If you are unsure of your major, consult with your academic advisor about the general education courses that are needed for transfer to a university. For information about how your courses will transfer to DSCC, go to Transfer Information.
Discuss your long-range plans with an advisor. You may call or e-mail advisors to set up appointments. In addition to each student’s faculty or staff advisor, help is available at the Advising Center located on the Dyersburg campus in the Student Center, and at the DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County and at the DSCC Gibson County Center.
