High School Students Eligible high school juniors and seniors may enroll in DSCC courses for either dual or joint credit or both. Dual credit enrollment is the enrollment of a high school student in one or more specified college courses for which the student will be awarded both high school and college credit; check with your high school to find out if dual credit is awarded. Joint enrollment is the enrollment of a high school student in one or more college courses for college credit only. For eligible juniors and seniors who desire financial assistance from the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC): -- You must have junior or senior standing in high school.
-- You must have a 3.00 (“B”) average on high school work completed. Since some students may excel in a particular area of study but may not have an average of “B” on all high school work completed, an exception to this condition may be made at the recommendation of the high school guidance counselor or the high school principal and the high school teacher in the student’s area of interest.

For high school students who have not taken the National ACT, the use of ACT PLAN scores is allowed to determine if placement in English and mathematics is permissable. -- Unless exempted under Tennessee Code Annotated, proof of immunization with two doses of Measles, Mumps, and Rubella vaccines, administered on or after the first birthday, is required for attendance to all universities and colleges with an enrollment of greater than two hundred students.
