Eligible high school students can enroll in DSCC courses while they are still enrolled in high school and receive college credit. Because DSCC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, DSCC college-level courses will transfer to any other regionally accredited college or university.
High school students wishing to enroll in DSCC courses must meet the requirements in one of the following categories:
Dual or Joint Enrollment for Eligible Juniors and Seniors Gifted and Talented Enrollment for Eligible Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors
Fees and Expenses Fees are set at the beginning of each fiscal year by the Tennessee Board of Regents. High school juniors and seniors may be eligible to receive up to $300 per semester if they quality for the Dual Enrollment Grant. In addition to the fee to take a course, the cost of books and supplies varies depending on the course, but you should assume that a minimum of $50 will be needed. Don’t Want to Sit in Another Class? Through DSCC, you have access to more than 170 online courses. You never have to come to campus.
