Dyersburg State is a member the Tennessee Consortium for International Studies (TnCIS). Since Dyersburg State joined and established its International Studies Program, it has arranged for Naomi Tutu (daughter of Archbishop Desmond Tutu) to speak on campus and presented the Cinco Maestros Michoacanos art display. Ms. Tutu is shown at the right. TnCIS represents a group of colleges and universities devoted to making international education and cultural understanding a central goal of higher education throughout the state of Tennessee. It was founded in 2006 to provide greater focus on the international needs of the state and to develop, support, and promote international exchanges of all types. TnCIS consists of nineteen colleges and universities in the state of Tennessee.
Program Director Zaira Garcia will return to campus at the beginning of Fall semester.
