1 Complete the online course survey to check your readiness.  Browse a sample course to learn the interface.
2 Review the frequently asked questions and DSCC's Online Course Offerings.
3 Apply for Admissions.
4 Review the Tuition, Fees and Costs for Courses.
5 Review Academic Schedules and Course Catalogs to ensure you are aware of important deadlines, policies, and procedures.
6 Seek advising and Apply for Financial Aid. Find Instructor Contact Information. Find Instructor Office and Advising Hours.
7 View tentative course syllabi to get an idea of what the online course entails.
8 A placement test may be necessary for degree-
seeking students.  Contact the Testing Center to schedule testing.
9 Check your computer hardware and software
including a browser system check and a plugin check
10 View Class Schedule, then Login to Register for classes.  Be sure to write down your CRN's to make registration easier.
11 Pay your Tuition, Fees, and costs for courses or make sure Financial Aid has been applied to your account.
12 Purchase your textbooks at the virtual bookstore.
Only books purchased through the DSCC's virtual bookstore are guaranteed to be correct.
13 Log into class - available 24/7 beginning the first day of classes.
14 Review Online Course Tutorials or Contact the Helpdesk if you need assistance with Usernames, Passwords, or other technical issues.
15 Visit DSCC's Virtual Library and learn about Tutoring Resources.
