Dyersburg State Community College will host College for Kids this Summer through the Division of Continuing Education at the DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County. Courses for children, including Astronomy, Karate, Roaring Rockets, Sensational Science, and Dance and Cheer will be held July 13-17. College for Kids is open to children four years old through 6th grades in the 2009-10 school year. Classes will begin at 9 a.m. each morning and last until noon. Each day, participants will attend three classes. The cost is $80 per participant and includes all classes, supplies, and a t-shirt. Children age four through Kindergarten can participate in Summertime Fun during the College for Kids courses. Summertime Fun includes courses in Tiny Tot Dance and Exercise, Arts and Crafts, and Story Time. Those interested should fill out a registration form and return it to the Division of Continuing Education by Monday, July 6. Those registering can select three classes and two alternate classes.
