Each year Dyersburg State Community College selects outstanding students to serve as ambassadors for the College. Ambassadors are selected through an application and interview process. Ambassadors' duties are varied -- they serve as hosts for the college, peer counselors, and as members of administrative committees. They also represent the College in the admissions recruitment activities. Chosen to serve for 2009-2010 are: Datris Cobb of Brownsville; Tracie Langely of Ripley, Sierra Kattendidt, Amelia Real and Wanda Townsend of Dyersburg; Soobin Crabb, Elizabeth Burnett and Brittany Harden of Munford; Monica Halton of Maury City; and Gwendolyn Wardlow of Humboldt. The DSCC Office of Student Services also announces the members of the DSCC Student Government Association (SGA) for 2009-2010. These officers were elected by the student body during the Spring '09 semester. They are President Gwendolyn Wardlow, Vice president Wanda Townsend, Gibson County Representative Mozella Williamson of Milan, and DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County Representative Elizabeth Burnett of Munford. Elected to serve as SGA Senators are: Gavontai McDonald of Tigrett, Lekiah Yancey and Amelia Real of Dyersburg, and Datris Cobb.
