On exhibit at the LRC in Dyersburg is a beautiful collection of photographs taken by 98 year old artist Mahaffey White. Her digital color photography has been shown across the United States and her pieces are exquisitely unique. Dean of the LRC Teresa Johnson said, "When I passed the exhibit as they were putting it up, I thought the framed prints were watercolors, but they are photographs and they are of the most beautiful detailed flowers. " In Mahaffey's words "Photography is itself a printmaking medium. I think as a painter, especially so with the flower studies shown in this exhibition." Don't miss this exhibit and join us for the reception from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14.
