Roadmap to Enrollment for First-time and Readmitting Students

Welcome to DSCC. These steps will guide you through the enrollment process.

Step 1.   Apply for Admission.

Step 2.   Apply for Financial Aid.

Step 3.   Submit your test scores and transcripts.

  • Contact your high school or GED Testing Center to request that an official copy of your transcript or GED scores be sent to the DSCC Office of Admissions, 1510 Lake Road, Dyersburg, TN 38024. If you took the GED in Tennessee, visit GED Centers to request your scores.
  • If you are under 21 years of age, DSCC needs an official copy of your ACT or SAT scores. If not on your high school transcript or if you did not request ACT to send your scores to DSCC at the time of testing, visit ACT to request your scores. DSCC's code is 3969.
  • If you have enrolled in courses at a college or university, contact the Registrar to request that an official copy of your transcript be sent to the DSCC Office of Admissions, 1510 Lake Road, Dyersburg, TN 38024.

Step 4.   Review Information about Course Placement.

  • Depending on your age, the DSCC courses you can take are determined initially by your ACT or SAT scores or COMPASS scores or college-level courses that you may have completed at another college.

Step 5.   Submit your Immunization Forms.

  • It's the law in Tennessee.

Step 6.  Seek advisement.

  • All students working toward a degree or certificate at DSCC must meet with an advisor.
  • Students who are not working toward a degree or certificate at DSCC are encouraged to meet with an advisor. Don't know your advisor's name? Please visit Find my advisor.
  • Check out the Advising Centers for additional assistance.

Step 7.  Register for classes..

  • For any registration, your User name and Password are the same as for online courses and for logging into the desktops on DSCC computers.
  • If you don't know how to log in, call or contact the LRC Help Desk at 731-288-7780 or the One Stop Center at 731-286-3350 or the DSCC Gibson County Center at 731-855-1419 or the DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County at 901-475-3100.

Step 8.  Pay fees and confirm enrollment.

Step 9.   Have your DSCC photo ID made and register your vehicle.

Step 10.  Keep in Touch!
