Dual Credit

CTE Dual Credit Opportunities

Dyersburg State currently offers dual credit in different Career Technical Education college courses.  Not every high school offers every course or every career pathway. Students and parents should check with their high school guidance office for a list of Career Technical Education courses offered that may be available for dual credit.

To receive credit through the CTE Dual Credit Program, a student must:

  1. Register for an eligible Career/Technical Course at your high school
  2. Submit the Dual Credit Registration Form Online
  3. Complete the course at the high school level with a passing grade
  4. Complete an end of course comprehensive examination with a grade of 75 or better
  5. Enroll at DSCC; credit will be applied on the census date student enrolls within two years of high school graduation

Tennessee State Sponsored Dual Credit Opportunities

Your Tennessee high school may offer challenge exams which lead to statewide recognized dual credit.
