On Monday, July 16, Dyersburg State Community College President Karen Bowyer met with Tennessee State Representative Craig Fitzhugh and Tennessee State Senator Lowe Finney to review the progress the college made with its education initiatives during the 2011-12 academic year. After meeting, Finney and Fitzhugh toured several of the laboratories located on the Dyersburg campus. These included the DSCC Writing Lab, the West Tennessee Healthcare Nursing Simulation Lab, the Colonial Rubber Chemistry Laboratory, the physics lab, and the mathematics lab. At each stop, the officials received a brief tour of the lab, learned about how it is used for instruction, and met with instructors and students.
