Changes to Spring Semester Calendar Announced
Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) has announced changes to its spring semester calendar due to the College’s recent one-week extension of spring break. The College extended spring break through March 22 to prepare for the transition of all classes to a distance learning mode amid COVID-19 concerns. Students will continue to use distance learning for all classes through the end of the spring semester.
In order to make up missed instructional class time, all Thursday classes will be in session April 9. Spring conference for faculty and staff, originally scheduled for April 9, will be postponed to a later date. Faculty and staff will work remotely on this day. Additionally, all classes will be in session Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 8, with final exams given on the last day of class that week.
DSCC’s Nursing Pinning and Commencement Ceremonies, scheduled for May 9, have been postponed. A new date will be announced closer to time.
Students should check their eLearn email daily for course specific information from their instructors. Advising and registration for May session and summer and fall semesters is taking place now for current and prospective students. Students are encouraged to register for classes early for best class selection.
