DSCC to Host Memphis Symphony Orchestra Show
The Memphis Symphony Orchestra and Chorus is coming to the Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) E.H. Lannom, Jr. Gymnasium on Sunday, December 3 at 3:00 p.m.
The Memphis Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Robert Moody and Kyle Dickson, is composed of over 60 musicians consisting of strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion. Artistic Director Dr. Lawrence Edwards leads the Memphis Symphony Chorus as they join the Orchestra with their vocal renditions of traditional holiday songs.
“The College community is excited to welcome back this annual tradition to the Dyersburg Campus. The concert is a wonderful celebration of both the musical arts and the holiday season. We hope that you make the concert part of your holiday merriment and, if you have not attended previously, a new tradition of your own,” said Dr. Cook, DSCC President.
Tickets are $25 for priority seating (must be purchased in advance) and $5 for general admission. Tickets may be purchased at the Business Office inside the Student Center on the Dyersburg campus, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. prior to the event. General admission tickets will be sold at the door based on seating availability.
