Don't lose your aid! The most important thing you can do to keep your financial aid is to keep up your grades.
The Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended by Congress in 1980, mandates institutions of higher education to establish standards of “satisfactory progress” for students receiving financial aid. Dyersburg State Community College makes these standards applicable to all federal, state, and institutionally awarded funds for the purpose of maintaining a consistent policy for all students receiving financial assistance.
Return to Title IV Funds Policy
Students who withdraw from all classes prior to completing more than 60% of an enrollment period will have their eligibility for aid recalculated based on the percent of the term they attended. The Return to Title IV Policy applies to all Federal Title IV students who officially withdraw as well as students who drop out or stop attending ALL classes without officially withdrawing. Students desiring to officially withdraw should follow the procedures outlined in the DSCC Catalog.
