Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) will host a complimentary webinar on artificial intelligence (AI) through its Department of Workforce Development on Tuesday, May 19, for Chamber of Commerce members and business representatives in its nine-county service area of northwest Tennessee.
The webinar, titled “AI Now and Future for Workforce Development,” will be held live via Zoom from noon to 1 p.m.

The webinar will be led by Dr. Robbie K. Melton, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Tennessee State University in Nashville. She also serves as Vice President of Technology Innovations at TSU.
Melton will explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on the modern workforce. This webinar will highlight emerging AI tools and provide practical integration strategies. Attendees will discover how to leverage these technologies to enhance workplace productivity, streamline processes, and drive organizational growth.
Melton is a founding member of the Center for Digital Education’s Higher Education AI Council and was acknowledged as one of the 2025 Leading Women in AI.
Most recently, Melton was recognized in February as one of the 50 Most Important African Americans in Technology for 2026 by the Journal of Black Innovation. Melton’s groundbreaking work centers around empowering Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through the integration of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI). Her strategic vision emphasizes digital transformation and workforce development, positioning TSU and its peers at the forefront of academic innovation and technology adoption.
