Dyersburg State Community College student-athletes continue to demonstrate that excellence extends far beyond the playing field. During the 2025-2026 academic year, numerous Eagle student-athletes were recognized by the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for outstanding academic achievement.

Leading the way were two Lady Eagles who earned the L. Quentin Lane Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence, the TCCAA’s highest academic honor, recognizing student-athletes in each sport with the highest graduating grade point average.

The TCCAA recognizes student-athletes in three academic categories:

  • Diamond Team – 4.0 GPA
  • First Team – 3.50-3.99 GPA

  • First Team – 4.0 GPA
  • Second Team – 3.80-3.99 GPA
