Networking Concentration (A.A.S.)
The Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Information Technology with a concentration in Networking prepares students for careers involving the installation, administration, maintenance, and security of computer systems and networks.
The curriculum combines general education courses with a comprehensive technical core emphasizing networking technologies, operating systems, cybersecurity, cloud computing, virtualization, programming, databases, and web technologies. Students also complete a supervised internship, allowing them to gain valuable workplace experience prior to graduation.
This concentration is designed for students who intend to enter the workforce immediately after graduation. Students planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree may instead consider the Information Systems emphasis within the Associate of Science program.
