The Dyersburg State Community College Department of Workforce Development will host “Leading Through Tough Times,” a leadership development workshop from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Dec. 2, on the Dyersburg campus in the Security Bank Community Learning Center, located at 1510 Lake Road.
Based on the leadership principles outlined in John C. Maxwell’s Leading in Tough Times: Overcome Even the Greatest Challenge with Courage and Confidence, the workshop is designed to help participants transform setbacks into opportunities for growth and success.
The workshop is complimentary for the first 20 participants who register online at https://bit.ly/3V2WESn.
The workshop is ideal for individuals seeking to develop their leadership potential, as well as current supervisors, managers, business owners, and organizational leaders looking to enhance their ability to lead teams through periods of change and uncertainty. The workshop will be presented by Randy Bridges, a certified Maxwell speaker, coach, and trainer. Bridges brings Maxwell’s proven leadership principles to West Tennessee, focusing on helping individuals strengthen leadership skills and improve organizational effectiveness.
Participants will explore six key segments designed to help leaders navigate difficult circumstances and inspire those around them:
- Leadership Assessment
- Self-Leadership
- Communication and Trust
- Decision-Making Under Pressure
- Motivation and Team Engagement
- Integration and Action
Each attendee will receive a participant guide that covers the workshop segments and provides space for notes, reflections, and action planning to support continued growth beyond the course.
“Strong leadership is often forged during challenging times,” said Darrin Devault, Director of DSCC’s Workforce Development. “This workshop is designed to equip participants with practical tools to lead with courage, confidence, and clarity, regardless of the obstacles they face.”
