Fee Waivers & Discounts

Tennessee state employees, TBR employees and UT employees are eligible for a fee waiver that will be applied towards tuition and fees. Spouses and dependents of TBR and UT employees are eligible for a fee discount that will be applied towards tuition and fees. Dependent children of TN state employees and licensed public-school teachers are eligible for a fee discount that will be applied towards tuition.

Discount and fee waivers are calculated as “good faith” reductions to tuition & fees (as applicable). If it is determined at a later date that a student is not eligible for the discount/waiver, the student will be invoiced and responsible for the amount of the discount/waiver.

Forms will be open for submission each semester on the following dates:

Fall Semester: July 15
Spring Semester: December 1
Summer Semester: April 15

Employment Verification must be signed and dated no earlier than the specified date for each term. Forms submitted prior to the specified date will not be processed. A new form is required for each semester. Forms will be processed until the last day of classes for the corresponding term.
