Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) now offers an online non-credit certificate course that teaches students the foundations of philanthropy in the United States and the fundamentals of nonprofit fundraising.
The Nonprofit Fundraising Certificate course covers proven best practices to successfully raise money, along with practical advice and strategies for board governance, annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, foundation relations, grant writing, and corporate relations.
Students may enroll at any time for the 100% online, self-paced course. The fee is $499.

The Nonprofit Fundraising Certificate offers universal practices that any organization, regardless of size, scope, or mission, can use. The course is designed for professionals looking to begin or transition into a fundraising career, college or university faculty, nonprofit and higher education leadership, social entrepreneurs, and current development staff.
The coursework is organized into nine modules, each containing sections that cover different aspects of nonprofit fundraising. Each module is followed by a quiz that focuses on lessons learned.

Students who complete the coursework will receive a certificate of completion from the DSCC Department of Workforce Development.
The Nonprofit Fundraising Certificate is CFRE-accredited and approved for six hours of continuing education credit. Founded in 2001, CFRE International is an independent nonprofit organization whose sole mission is to set standards in philanthropy through a valid and reliable certification process for fundraising professionals.
