Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) will present the Dyersburg Choral Society in its annual spring concert at 7:30 p.m. on May 8, 2025, at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 2280 Parr Avenue in Dyersburg. The Choral Society, which has 43 members, is directed by Floyd Speck and has Carolyn Burnett as an accompanist. Members come from around the area.
The Dyersburg State Choirwill once again join the Choral Society. This student choral group consists of scholarship students and performs frequently for college functions and recruiting. Brianna Reilly directs the group, and Sarah Jean is the accompanist.
The program features a mix of sacred and secular selections, including spirituals, folk, and popular music. Featured soloists include Brandon Bennett, Mary Jaycox, Jillian Schaffer, and Rachel Siker.
The Dyersburg State Choir is open to Dyersburg State students by audition and counts for DSCC credit. Students interested should contact Brianna Reilly, Choir Director, at breilly@dscc.edu or 731-286-3200.
