Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2026 College for Kids summer program, an annual educational experience designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and hands‑on discovery for children entering grades K-7.
This year’s program will be held July 7 – 9 from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center, located at 3149 U.S. Highway 51 South in Covington. Guided by the theme “Major in Fun & Discovery,” participants will immerse themselves in an exciting variety of interactive classes and enrichment activities.
Students can select from a diverse list of engaging options, including arts and crafts, confection decorating, STEM exploration, and gaming. Older participants in grades 4-7 will also have opportunities to experience Medical School, a hands-on introduction to the health sciences, and Intro to Artificial Intelligence, a kid-friendly look at emerging technologies shaping their future.
“At Dyersburg State Community College, we believe early exposure to learning experiences like these helps shape how students see themselves now and in their future,” said Dr. Scott Cook, President. “College for Kids is a tradition designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and introduce young learners to new ideas in ways that are both engaging, accessible, and fun. Whether students explore science, creativity, or technology, we want them to leave campus having enjoyed their time with us and to have a stronger sense of possibility about what they can achieve.”
