“As we gather to celebrate the 55th Anniversary of Dyersburg State Community College, we invite you to join us for the Boots and Bow Ties Fundraiser—a night of community, camaraderie, and commitment to our future. This event is not just a celebration of our past achievements but a vital investment in the dreams of our students. Together, let’s honor our legacy and pave the way for the next generation of leaders. Put on your boots or bow ties, and let’s make a difference together, shared Dr. Scott Cook,” President of Dyersburg State Community College.
The theme for the event is “Boots and Bow Ties,” so expect to see plenty of hay bales and boots. Everyone attending is encouraged to wear their favorite pair of boots, western attire, and, of course, a bow tie! The atmosphere will be lively, with great music, plenty of dancing, and fun for all.
As mentioned above, we are excited to announce that DSCC Alumnus Rowdy Franks, a mid-south native known for his unique and captivating sound, will provide musical entertainment for the evening. Drawing inspiration from legends like Waylon Jennings, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, and Led Zeppelin, Rowdy’s soulful vocals are sure to enchant any listener. He most recently performed at the Delta Fair in 2024.
We look forward to the community joining us to celebrate Dyersburg State’s 55th Anniversary. Sponsorship opportunities are available. If you are interested in becoming an event sponsor for Boots and Bow Ties, please contact Dr. Amanda Walker, Vice President of External Affairs, at amanda@dscc.edu or visit the online registration portal at https://bit.ly/47HFo77 to select a sponsorship option.
