Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) is excited to welcome back the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and Chorus for its annual “Magic of Christmas” concert. The event will take place at the E.H. Lannom, Jr. Gymnasium on Friday, December 19, at 7:30 p.m.
The Memphis Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Robert Moody and Assistant Conductor Kyle Dickson, comprises over 60 musicians consisting of strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. Artistic Director Dr. Lawrence Edwards leads the Memphis Symphony Chorus as they join the Orchestra with their vocal renditions of traditional holiday songs.
“The Memphis Symphony Orchestra’s return for the annual Magic of Christmas performance is one of the highlights of our holiday season. This concert unites our community to share the beauty and wonderment during this special time of year. It’s a joyful occasion to celebrate the season and experience the poignant magic of live music,” said Dr. Cook, DSCC President.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of this joyous celebration! Tickets are $25 for priority seating (must be purchased in advance) and $5 for general admission. They may be purchased online at https://www.dscc.edu/symphony/ or at the One Stop inside the Student Center on the Dyersburg campus, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. prior to the event. General admission tickets will be available for purchase at the door, subject to seating availability.
