The College System of Tennessee has announced the 10 members of the inaugural Chancellor’s Fellowship Class, representing faculty and staff from community and technical colleges across the state. Associate Professor Danny Inghram will represent Dyersburg State.

The Chancellor’s Fellowship is a new cornerstone initiative of the Maxine Smith Leadership Series, designed to cultivate leadership talent among senior administrators across the college system.

The class launches in June with an orientation session aligned with the next quarterly meeting of the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), the system’s governing board. The class will conduct monthly sessions through the 2025-26 academic year.

The Chancellor’s Fellowship is the first of three fellowship programs comprising the Maxine Smith Leadership Series, a set of initiatives to cultivate leadership in Tennessee’s public higher education system. The Emerging Leaders Fellowship and Faculty Innovation Fellowship programs will launch later.

Regarding the Chancellor’s Fellowship Class, DSCC President Scott Cook stated, “I am proud to support Danny Inghram as he participates in this new leadership program for aspiring leaders across our system. His commitment to growth and development reflects the future of our college—one that values initiative, invests in potential, and is prepared to leverage tomorrow’s opportunities and address its challenges.”

When asked what he expects from the class, DSCC representative Danny Inghram stated, “I’m honored to represent DSCC as part of this year’s Chancellor’s Fellowship. I’m excited to learn from higher education leaders across TN and gain a better understanding of policy, collaboration, and strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring insight back to DSCC, especially as we look for new ways to support students and strengthen our programs. I’m grateful for the opportunity to carry DSCC’s name into the work ahead.”

Dyersburg State is immensely proud of Professor Inghram as he embarks on this professional journey. We cannot wait to see how he improves personally and at DSCC.
