Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) held its inaugural Henry County Center Golf Tournament on April 12, 2024, at the Paris Landing State Park Golf Club in Paris, Tennessee. The event aimed to provide a fun, competitive experience for the participating teams and raise funds to support DSCC Henry County Center student scholarships.
With an impressive performance, Team Ridgeway won the 12-team tournament; Team Ridgeway consisted of Henry County Mayor, Mr. John Penn Ridgeway, Mr. Chris Burton, Mr. Randal French, and Mr. Rodney McKinney. Team White & Associates Wimberley Dyer Agency came in second place, with team members including Mr. Jon Dyer, Mr. Rob Hessing, Mr. Brent Owens, and Mr. Robert Hawley. Team First Bank was represented by Mr. Justin Muller, Mr. Jeff Fagan, Mr. David Burden, and Mr. Troy Buttrey, who placed third. Graciously, all teams returned their winnings to support the DSCC Henry County Scholarship Fund. The tournament was successful, with sponsorship and donations totaling $3,266.
In addition to the competitive rounds of golf, participants enjoyed a series of engaging contests throughout the day. We are pleased to congratulate the following contest winners: Mr. Dustin McClure for the Putting Contest, Mr. Justin Muller for the Longest Drive Contest, and Mr. Jon Dyer for the Closest to the Pin Contest.
